Publication Ethics

The Journal of Business Evolution and Economic Management (JBEEM) is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic publication ethics, in accordance with the guidelines set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). All parties involved in the publication process are required to adhere to the following ethical code.

Author's Responsibilities

  1. Originality and Anti-Plagiarism: Authors must ensure that the manuscript submitted is original and free from plagiarism. The manuscript must pass a similarity test with a similarity score of no more than 20%.
  2. Acknowledgment of Sources: Authors must provide a complete and accurate reference list for every source cited in the manuscript.
  3. Authorship: Only individuals who have made significant contributions to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the research should be listed as authors.
  4. Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest: Authors are required to disclose any financial or non-financial conflicts of interest that could influence the results or interpretation of the research.
  5. Prohibition of Dual Publication: Authors are not allowed to submit the same manuscript simultaneously to more than one journal.
  6. Corrections and Retractions: If authors discover significant errors in a published article, they are obligated to immediately contact the editor.

Editor’s Responsibilities

  • The editor is responsible for the final decision on the acceptance or rejection of a manuscript based on its scientific quality and relevance to the scope of the journal.
  • The editor must maintain the confidentiality of the authors' and reviewers' identities during the double-blind peer review process.
  • The editor must not use any unpublished information from a manuscript for personal gain.
  • The editor must avoid any conflicts of interest with the manuscript under consideration.

Reviewer’s Responsibilities

  • Reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of all information contained in the manuscript being reviewed.
  • Reviewers should provide objective, constructive, and timely evaluations.
  • Reviewers must disclose to the editor if there is any conflict of interest with the manuscript assigned to them.
  • Reviewers must not use ideas or data from a manuscript that has not been published for personal benefit.

Handling of Ethical Violations
Any suspected ethical violations in publication will be addressed according to the procedures outlined by COPE. The editorial board reserves the right to reject, retract, or issue an expression of concern regarding any article found to be in violation of the publication ethics code.
