Peer Reviewers Process

EBIZER: Jurnal Ekonomi, Manajemen, Akuntansi, dan Bisnis implements a strict and objective peer review process to ensure the academic quality and integrity of every manuscript published. The review policy is carried out as follows:

1. Pre-Submission Recommendation

Authors are strongly advised to check the originality of their manuscripts using plagiarism detection tools and ensure that the submission is free from copyright violations and has not been published or submitted elsewhere.

2. Initial Editorial Screening

All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial review by the editor to evaluate:

  • The relevance of the topic to the scope
  • Compliance with the journal template and author guidelines
  • General quality of writing and academic presentation

During this stage, the editor may contact the author to request preliminary revisions or decide to return or reject the manuscript if it does not meet the journal’s minimum standards.

3. Scientific Review Process (Double-Blind)

Manuscripts that pass the editorial screening are forwarded to two independent reviewers for scientific assessment using the double-blind peer review method, where:

  • Reviewers do not know the identity of the authors
  • Authors do not know the identity of the reviewers

4. Review Criteria

Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on the following aspects:

  • Originality and novelty of the research
  • Clarity of problem formulation and research objectives
  • Relevance and rigor of the research methodology
  • Quality of data analysis and interpretation
  • Scholarly contribution to the fields of economics, management, accounting, or business
  • Relevance and sufficiency of scientific references
  • Strength and consistency of the conclusions

5. Review Outcomes

Each reviewer will provide a recommendation, which may include:

  • Accept without revision
  • Accept with minor revisions
  • Major revisions required
  • Reject

Reviewers will also provide constructive feedback or suggestions for improvement, which must be addressed by the author.

6. Editorial Decision

The editor will consider the reviewers' evaluations to determine the final editorial decision. In cases of significantly differing opinions between reviewers, the editor may consult a third reviewer.

7. Final Decision by Editor-in-Chief

The final decision regarding acceptance or rejection of a manuscript rests with the Editor-in-Chief, and is final and non-negotiable.

8. Review Management Platform

The entire review process is managed through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform to ensure transparency, efficiency, and proper documentation.
